Today’s Inspiration – Restored Like a Dream

A Song of Ascents.

When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion,
we were like those who dream.
Then our mouth was filled with laughter,
and our tongue with shouts of joy;
then they said among the nations,
“The Lord has done great things for them.”
The Lord has done great things for us;
we are glad.

 Restore our fortunes, O Lord,
like streams in the Negeb!
Those who sow in tears
shall reap with shouts of joy!

He who goes out weeping,
bearing the seed for sowing,
shall come home with shouts of joy,
bringing his sheaves with him.

Psalms 126

 

 

 

Desires of the Heart

 

Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:4

 Since God gives us the desires of our heart, it is up to us to seek the Lord to learn what He has set, assigned, and appointed for us. Some desires we conjure up on our own, and when we do not see them come to pass we can be disappointed, hurt or even angry with God.

But the ones God has planned for you, He has promised to fulfill.

May He grant you according to your heart’s desire, and fulfill all your purpose.

Psalms 20:4

 These very same desires are part of who God has designed you to be. They are God’s will for your life. He has equipped you with the talents, abilities and passion perfectly suited for your desires. He wants you to have them and thrive in seeing your desires come to life!

Living in the desires of your heart brings glory to God. We take delight in Him and He blesses us with incredible measures!

Make time to seek the Lord for what He has set in your heart –  it is already there waiting to come forth…..
